ONE SUMMER'S DAY

There have been four One Summer's Day festivals so far, starting in 2015, and they have all taken place in the courtyard garden of The Tup in Guildford's town centre. The sound for all of these events has been in the charge of the mighty Joshua Robins and his team from Robins Audio. All profits from ticket sales have been donated to a set of chosen charities, including Macmillan Cancer Care, Cancer Research UK, Samson Centre for MS, and MIND, alongside donations to various wards at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. So far the GT Live Sessions have donated £21,500 to charity just from the One Summer's Day events. Follow the links below for the OSD photos, line-ups and charities involved through the years.

"For so many years now I've been amazed at the talent of the singers and songwriters in our town, and I thought it was time to give some of these supremely talented musicians a larger stage, and a larger audience to play to. The idea of creating some sort of live event coincided with the news that we were going to lose Guilfest this year. So I thought I'd see if we could set up a small acoustic festival in Guildford's town centre, around the time that Guilfest would have been, as I know that there are are an awful lot of local people who are going to miss the Guilfest weekend terribly. Before I knew it The Tup had offered me their venue, and I had a Stage Manager, a sound crew, and some sponsor ideas ... so it was time to book some bands!” Gavin Thomas - July 2015
