ONE WINTER'S NIGHT

Every January since 2016 the team from GT Live Sessions has taken over Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre for an extraordinary evening of top quality live music. This unique event features a variety of local singers, songwriters and bands, and raises money for chosen charities. For the last four years One Winter’s Night has been sponsored by KP Snacks Ltd, and the raffle has been match-funded by Santander UK. For all six of these concerts the sound has been in the capable hands of Joshua Robins and his amazing team at Robins Audio.

From its inaugural performance in January 2016, and the six acclaimed events that have followed, One Winter’s Night has raised over £65,000 for charity.

After a very successful first One Summer's Day charity music festival back in 2015, I was approached by Jamie Barber (then Director of the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre) with the idea of producing a winter concert at the theatre. This fantastic opportunity led to the first One Winter's Night concert in January 2016, and with Jamie's support and guidance over the following years we built One Winter's Night into a hugely popular annual event. Dear Jamie passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017, two weeks before the curtain went up on last year's concert. The four critically acclaimed productions that we've staged at The Yvonne Arnaud would not have happened without Jamie’s genius vision, his love and his support, and I'm hugely proud to dedicate these events to the memory of this remarkable man.”
